Name card

identity-process

dsc_0145This is a personal name card I created including a book on the creation process. I was heavily inspired by vector graphics and I unwittingly created a “logo” for myself — the pen and pencil in a cup — after much experimentation.

The project made me realise how I was actually creating a visual identity for myself through interrogation, profiling and targeting and that inspired the narrative of the book. The A5-size book mimics a military field guide on “identity deconstruction”, a process I used to create my name card.

The final card was a 9 x 5 cm card printed on Zeta (Micro) paper while the process book’s cover was printed on Zeta (N/Linen) paper.

How do I get from home to school?

Using only typography, this work (above) explored a spatial mapping of my journey to school through the lens of power as I sought to express a battle for control between the planned urbanscape versus my personal imagination of the route.

The work was printed on an A2 sized Kraft paper.

On the left is the process book that shows the production of this work from its conceptualisation to its eventual production.

Twobrush

This series of designs were for a cover and section dividers of a final report about a short film, “Twobrush”, that I made with some friends for a film class. The work explores the “culture clash” between a couple and their habits of putting aside their toothbrushes.
